Ladies, take a swing at hardball this summer. The Southern California Women’s Baseball League is now forming for its summer 2003 season and this weekend is your last chance to get placed on a team. The Center Starz softball team is headed for the Playing For Life softball tournament in New York City to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, but they need your help to do it, so come on out to The Center parking lot this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and get your car washed to help the Starz raise money for the trip.

Co-ed practices are held every Saturday at the Clairemont Recreation Center Pool starting at 10:00 a.m. Practices are open to all skill levels.

The San Diego Flag Football League has a new home at the corner of Park Blvd. and Zoo Drive/Morley Field Drive, at the North East corner of the San Diego Zoo. Come out and take a shot at flag football Saturday afternoons from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Visit www.sdffl.com for a complete schedule of times.

The Rainbow Volleyball Alliance will take over the Balboa Gym, Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Sunday afternoons they set up courts along 6th Ave.
