Brandan D. Wall, the driving force behind Martin and Wall, is a San Diego native. While growing up, he put his creative energy into competitive artistic rollerskating, which won him national and regional titles. It was his interest in rollerskating that prompted him to create Roller Boy Menswear.com and Men’s Skating Competition Apparel. He spent time in New York where he attended the Fashion Institute of Technology – the only college to offer a men’s wear design program. He then returned to San Diego and put his talents into his newest project, Martin and Wall.

Martin and Wall The Collection was born in March of 2003. It began as a men’s clothing label, with designs and production samples in the works to launch this summer. The end of April brings the completion of the MartinandWall.com web site. Now, with the opening of their retail store, Martin and Wall is headed in a new direction.

“Having lived and worked in the area for many years, I had been looking for a retail location in the heart of Hillcrest,” Wall said. “In January, the space I had been waiting for opened up. Things just fell into place. Location and the store design was important and is a key factor in the feel and look of the Martin and Wall clothing line that will hit our hangers this summer and will flow into the web site and studio location.”
