Patricia Rincon Dance Collective: The acclaimed dance troupe presents “Rushstop”, a multimedia collaboration with well-known animator Steve Churchill, and “Nothing to Declare”, a humorous and offbeat stereotypical look at Mexican-Americans living in the U.S. and how they intersect and collide with both cultures. “Nothing to Declare” includes poetry by Taco Shop Poets’ Adolfo Guzman Lopez. One woman with a twist: Show Must Go On Productions continues its NITE OUT Cabaret series at the beautiful San Diego Hilton/Del Mar with Leigh Scarritt in a “One Woman Show with a Twist!” – the twist being guest recording artist Scott Dreier and musical director extraordinaire Todd Schroeder. Youth Pride 2004: San Diego’s second annual Youth Pride celebration takes place this weekend at The Center. The festivities begin tonight in The Center’s auditorium at 6:00 p.m. The evening features live entertainment, an art exhibit, youth theater pieces and a special appearance by openly gay actor Wilson Cruz of the Fox Network television program “My So-Called Life”. On Saturday, a youth march is planned for 11:00 a.m. with transgender activist Leslie Feinberg. The Center’s second Annual Women’s Night, a benefit for women’s programming at The Center, starts at 6:00 p.m. at the historic El Cortez Hotel downtown.
