TV
Tuesday
“Last Comic Standing” on NBC at 9:00 p.m.
Tune in and cheer on Ant, the token gay comic, as he tries to make it to the finals. In his own words: “I’m so gay, I can put a lisp in the word cracker. Crackersss.”
Tuesday
“Sex and the City” on TBS at 10:00 p.m.
They might as well call it “Bleep and the City” because really… all of the sex is gone in the sanitized version of the show that will broadcast on basic cable. Nevertheless, tune in for the first episode that started the craze.
Wednesday
“The Simple Life: 2” on Fox at 9:00 p.m.
They are blond, bitchy and back for a second season as they tour the country in a motor home, doing their best to destroy one small town at a time. This week, Paris and Nicole work as maids at the Caliente Nudist Colony and learn the meaning of the word “termination”.
Movies
Around The World in 80 Days
Based upon the classic novel by Jules Verne, Around the World in 80 Days is the classic tale of Victorian gentleman Phileas Fogg and his attempt to win a wager by circling the globe in (of course) 80 days. Jackie Chan stars as Passepartout, who seeks refuge with Fogg on the journey.
The Terminal
Tom Hanks stars in The Terminal, the story of a Balkan immigrant who is forced to make an airport his home. Due to conflicts around his homeland and changing national boundaries, his country ceases to exist and his visa became useless. Considered an illegal alien in the U.S., the immigrant has nowhere to go until he strikes up a relationship with a female airport employee and the two make plans for an escape.
