Movies
King Arthur
This latest retelling of the English legend attempts to cast the story in a historical context. The film concentrates on the political intrigue behind King Arthur’s court, which rose to power in Britannia in the aftermath of the fall of the Roman Empire. More in the vein of Braveheart than Excalibur, the film relies on factual historical information rather than the usual mythical legends.
Anchorman
Will Ferrell stars as an over-the-top TV anchorman in the comedy Anchorman. Set in San Diego in the 1970s, Ferrell plays Ron Burgundy, a newsman who develops a rivalry with a more competent and talented female journalist played by Christina Applegate.
Napoleon Dynamite
From the rural town of Preston, Idaho, comes Napoleon Dynamite. With a red ’fro, his moon boots and illegal government ninja moves, he is a new kind of hero. When his friend, Pedro, decides to run for class president, it is Napoleon to the rescue to help him triumph over adversity.
