Front Runners San Diego is sponsoring a free 5K run and 1.5-mile walk, “Run and Stride with Pride”, in Balboa Park on Pride Saturday, July 31. Start time for both events is 8:00 a.m. at the corner of Sixth and Laurel streets.

Participant registration begins at the starting line at 7:00 a.m.

Celebrating its 23rd anniversary, Front Runners San Diego welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels to Run and Stride With Pride. Participants enjoy a scenic course through historic Balboa Park, and medals will be awarded in age categories to the top finishers in both events.

Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and club members, a raffle of prizes – meals, movie passes, gift certificates and more – takes place following the race.

And what would a GLBT event be without brunch? A free light brunch will be served to everyone in the Finish area.

Year-round, Front Runners San Diego meets at the intersection of Sixth and Laurel streets every Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. for runs and walks, preceded by group stretching. Runs and walks leave from the same location on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.
