Canvass for equality: LGBT San Diego Delivers the Vote and The California Voter Project are holding their largest neighborhood-canvassing event yet, starting at 9:00 a.m. at The Center. The morning begins with snacks and a short presentation on how to register and educate voters about the importance of voting. Then, after canvassing neighborhoods for a few hours, volunteers will return to The Center for food, drink and festivities. Where the wild things are: The San Diego Foundation for Change is hosting their annual Crystal Ball (this year’s theme is “Where the Wild Things Are”), a fundraiser for the San Diego Foundation for Change and the James Mitsuo Cua Fund for Gay and Lesbian Rights, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at 2440 C St. Hors d’oeuvres and desserts will be served; costumes are preferred but not required, and there will be a costume contest, silent and live auctions and dancing. Follow the purple balloons: The Lesbian Connection’s third annual “Picnic in the Park” takes place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Balboa and Juniper streets in Balboa Park. Laura Jane is performing and there will be a barbecue. Bring drinks and side dishes, as well as Frisbees, balls, chairs and anything else that’ll make your day at the park one to remember. Andrew Lloyd Webber Spectacular: The Spreckels Organ Society’s 17th annual International Summer Organ Festival concludes its free Monday evening concerts at the world’s largest outdoor pipe organ at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park at 7:30 p.m. with a series of songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s best-loved musicals, featuring Clark Sterling playing baritone and Carol Williams on the organ.
