Theater sports: San Diego TheatreSports presents The Improv Competition, where every scene and song is made up on the spot by two teams of improvisers taking suggestions from the audience, every Friday and Saturday from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. The fun takes place at The FunHouse, located at 6822 El Cajon Blvd. Tickets are $10-15. ComeUnity: Held the first Saturday of every month at 6 Degrees, ComeUnity offers something new to the San Diego GLBT nightlife – a combination of music, food and artistic expression. With $20, you can eat, paint, drink and dance to different DJs each month. A full meal (dessert included) is $7, and there are $3 martinis all night. The Producers: Fresh off Broadway and on national tour, Mel Brooks’ musical comedy The Producers graces San Diego with its presence at the Civic Theatre, with two final shows at 1:00 and 6:00 p.m. Lyrics, set design, costuming and physical comedy are complemented by outstanding vocal talent and live orchestral accompaniment in this blissful, hilarious spectacle of two down-on-their-luck producers trying to make the world’s worst theatrical bomb, Springtime for Hitler. Tijuana’s Coronation 2004: The Imperial Court of Baja, California, presents their largest fundraiser of the year, Coronation 2004, at Taurino’s Bar, located at First and Constitution in Tijuana. The event consists of a sit-down dinner, a silent auction, live performances and a raffle. Tickets are $20 in advance for dinner and coronation, or $10 for just the coronation. Thief River: Diversionary Theatre’s latest production explores the love between two men, spanning more than 50 years after a 1948 event drastically alters their lives. Dart league: Darts are flying and the competition is fierce at 6 Degrees, where the dart league has started up again.
