His approach to dentistry is to provide patients with enough information so that they can become actively involved in the implementation of their dental care. He also provides the latest in cosmetic whiting, including “zoom” which has been seen on the hit TV show “Extreme Makeover”.

Okihara is a longtime San Diego resident and his hobbies include classic cars. He is the proud owner of a 1965 GTO Convertible and a ’68 Mercury Cougar XR7. He is also a proud supporter of the GLBT community.

“I have always been involved with the GLBT community since moving to San Diego,” said Okihara, who is a past board member of the San Diego Democratic Club, San Diego Human Dignity Foundation and the Hillcrest Dental Clinic. He is also a contributor to GLBT causes and elected officials. “My philosophy is to give back to the community that has served me so well for many years.”
