Sapphic Cinema: The Women’s Resource Center at The Center hosts a film series of works by, for and about lesbian, bisexual, transgender and feminist women on the fourth Friday of every month. Films will feature and celebrate women in a fun and welcoming environment. All movie nights are free and open to the public. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: The Old Globe Theatre’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, starring John Lithgow, ends its San Diego run Oct. 24. The Broadway-bound comedy follows two conmen living on the French Riviera, who compete to extract $50,000 from a female target. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $58.50. Fiesta Del Tequila: Explorations of the culture and libations of Mexico continue with the San Diego Museum of Man and Galeria Pérez Meillon of Ensenada celebrating the third annual Fiesta Del Tequila in Ensenada. The day begins with a bus trip to Ensenada, followed by a tamale brunch and mariachi concert. A lecture on the topic of mescal is followed by an opportunity to sample and compare tequilas and mescals accompanied by appetizers. A gourmet meal concludes the evening, complete with tortilla soup and tequila sherbet, then the bus ride back home. Tickets are $80 per person and reservations are a must. Dyke March: The seventh annual Dyke March and Festival kicks off with a rally at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Hall of Justice. Participants will then march up Broadway to the festival located on Sixth Avenue between Laurel and Juniper streets in Balboa Park. This year’s festival features activist Pat Washington and punk-rock singer and author Lynn Breedlove as keynote speakers, as well as live performances by Tribe 8, the San Diego Drag Kings Club, Alicia Champion, Mystery Hangup and more.
