TV
Saturday
‘Saturday Night Live’ on NBC at 11:30 p.m.
Jude Law, the star of practically every major movie coming out this fall (count ’em… six movies) joins the cast as this week’s host and if that’s not enough, Ashlee Simpson performs.
Sunday
‘Desperate Housewives’ on ABC at 9:00 p.m.
We don’t know if it’s because of the housewife who’s sleeping with her hot gardener, the enduring mom who’s married to gay Matt from “Melrose Place”, how sweet Terri Hatcher is trying to get Mike the plumber to notice her, or the psycho Martha Stewart on steroids, but we love this show.
Wednesday
‘100 Scariest Movie Moments’ on Bravo at 8:00 p.m.
Get into the spirit of the season as Bravo takes a look back at some of the greatest moments in horror movie history in this two-hour special presentation.
Movies
Team America
Equal opportunity offenders Trey Parker and Matt Stone are back. No, it might not live up to South Park the movie, but it does have puppets… having sex, and that is awesome enough to make it worth seeing.
The Grudge
Sarah Michelle Gellar stars in this remake of the Japanese horror film Ju-On. Takashi Shimizu, who directed the original, is at the helm again, with script by Stephen Susco. The premise centers on a supernatural curse that results when a powerful individual died angry. The curse goes from victim to victim like a virus.
I Heart Huckabees
An all-star cast that includes Naomi Watts, Mark Wahlberg, Jude Law (we told you he’s in everything), Catherine Deneuve, Dustin Hoffman and the one and only Lily Tomlin. Written and directed by David O’Russell, the ensemble comedy is about a husband-and-wife detective team who investigate and solve existential matters for clients.
