‘ER’ on NBC at 10:00 p.m.

The doctors are on call and out lesbian Kerry Weaver is the chief of staff. Last season, her partner, Sandy, died, and Kerry successfully fought Sandy’s parents for custody of their child.

Jude Law stars in the remake of the 1966 Michael Caine comedy Alfie. Law plays a philosophical playboy whose exploits lead him to the girl of his dreams, but finds out he may have gotten more than he was bargaining for. Susan Sarandon, Marisa Tomei, Nia Long and Sienna Miller co-star.

Bob Parr used to be one of the world’s greatest superheroes but now, 15 years later, Bob and his wife – a famous superhero in her own right – have adopted civilian identities and retreated to the suburbs to live normal lives with their three kids. Itching to get back into action, Bob gets his chance when a mysterious communication summons him to a remote island for a top-secret assignment.

Anna is a young widow who is finally getting on with her life after the death of her husband, Sean. Now engaged, Anna meets a 10-year-old boy who tells her he is Sean reincarnated. Though his story is both unsettling and absurd, Anna can’t get the boy out of her mind.
