Dr. Estelle Toby Goldstein’s new medical practice incorporates the mind and the body, using traditional and holistic treatment to solve severe and puzzling medical problems.

A medical doctor for 25 years, Dr. Goldstein opened her practice in San Diego in October. Her background as a general surgeon, neurologist, neurosurgeon, psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist gives her a broad understanding essential to identifying and solving health and well-being problems that may have been overlooked.

“My business partner is my husband, and we are a winning team,” Dr. Goldstein said. The duo enjoys music, movies and theater. Dr. Goldstein has a personal passion for Irish dancing and is an avid Francophile, having attended medical school in France.

Dr. Goldstein considers University Heights, where her practice is located, and the surrounding neighborhoods the Greenwich Village of San Diego. “We have beautified our property to make the neighborhood more beautiful, and I walk daily to meet and greet people in the shops and coffee houses to get acquainted,” she said. “I haven’t been so comfortable anywhere since I left Paris.”
