Prospective players are also invited to come out and join the team for their weekly practices at Robb Field in Ocean Beach on Friday nights at 6:00 p.m.

Join them every Sunday in Balboa Park for a formal practice from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the corner of Upas Street and Park Boulevard. The team also holds social practices on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Balboa Park along Sixth Avenue, between Quince and Laurel streets.

Saturdays

The Cygnets Water Polo team welcomes new members of all skill levels. They practice at Morley Field in Balboa Park on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Bud Kearns Pool. The first practice is free.

Wednesday nights

The San Diego Hoops gay basketball league regular season play has begun. Games take place every Wed. night at the Golden Hill Recreation Center. The first of four games each night tips off at 6:00 p.m. and games continue through 10:00 p.m.

The Front Runners meet at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 8:00 a.m., for 3-6 mile runs or 2-3 mile walks. The Front Runners North County chapter meets at 9:00 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of every month at Magee Park in Carlsbad.
