Dig Degas: The San Diego Museum of Art presents an extremely rare opportunity to see the complete set of 73 bronze sculptures by Edgar Degas (1834-1917) in a single installation. The exhibition will be augmented by a selection of work in other media by Degas to provide visitors with a fuller view of the artist’s creative genius for representing the figure in motion. Degas’s sculptures of horses, nudes and ballet dancers — notably, the celebrated Little Dancer, Aged Fourteen — are among his most widely admired works. The San Diego Museum of Art, in Balboa Park, is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Calling all grrrls: Jessy Moss will be at the All Girls Skate Jam, today from 3:00-5:30 p.m. signing autographs and performing live during Oceanfest ‘03 (in Oceanside through July 6). Moss will perform from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the amphitheater at Oceanside Pier. Her U.S. tour begins this summer for her debut album Street Knuckles, which will be in stores July 29. Admission to all Oceanfest ‘03 events is free of charge, and the venue offers ample parking and is conveniently located just one block from Amtrak and Beach Train stations.

Grab your stick: The Little Italy Association hosts stickball league play at 1:00 p.m. the first Sunday of every month on Columbia St. between Beech and Ash. Everyone is welcome to watch and pretend they’re back in the Bronx. For more information, call (619) 233-3898.

No, it’s not the BeeGees: Falsettos dives into the life of Marvin, a neurotic bisexual who bails out on his wife Trina and son Jason to find love in the arms of Whizzer, his gay lover. Trina soon ends up snuggling with Mendel, the family therapist, and Jason is naturally a little confused. The complicated tableau gets even more complex when Whizzer becomes ill. See it tonight at 8:00 p.m. at Diversionary Theatre, 4545 Park Blvd., #101. Falsettos plays at Diversionary through Aug. 2. For details, call (619) 220-0097.
Cheap thrills: Hillcrest continues its efforts to make San Diego a happier place with Tue$ Nite Out. Restaurants and retailers will offer special bargains from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with each participating establishment placing a “Tuesday Nite Out” sign in their window to make it easy to spot the frugal fun. Restaurants include Hamburger Mary’s, Lalo’s, City Deli, Pizza Nova, La Vache and more. If you’d rather shop, stop in at Off the Record, Hillcrest Newstand or Babette Schwartz for your deals. For a list of participants, call (619) 299-3330.

Not exactly Aristotle: Funkalosophy, Eveoke Dance Theatre’s sold-out season premiere from last year, returns tonight through July 31 at the Jack Dodge Theatre, 335 Sixth Ave. Set in a Hip-Hop club scene and restaged with three new works, this version is even more exciting than the first. Located in the Gaslamp Quarter, Funkalosophy presents an alternative philosophy of Hip-Hop, highlighting social and political conscience. Set up with full bar service, this “club scene” provides an entertaining alternative to the commercial club experience. For more information, call (619) 238-1153.
