The ultimate soap of the ’80s makes a comeback in a movie about Esther and Richard Shapiro who created the hit TV show that came to reflect the glamour and excess of its era.

“Lost” on ABC at 8:00 p.m.
Lost returns with new episodes to kick off what has got to be the most intense, action-packed night of television. This week Jack, Kate and Sawyer fight over possession of a newly discovered locked metal briefcase, which might contain insights into Kate’s mysterious past; and a rising tide threatens to engulf the beach and fuselage.

“Alias” on ABC at 9:00 p.m.
Finally! “Alias” makes its much-anticipated return. When we last saw our lovely Sydney, she was in peril, Jack was in deep trouble, Sloan was on the loose and Vaughn and Sark both looked hot as hell.

Hotel Rwanda
One of the most talked about independent films of the year and an Oscar hopeful, Hotel Rwanda stars Don Cheadle, Nick Nolte and Sophie Okonedo. Based on a true story, Cheadle plays Paul Rusesabagina, a hotel manager in Kigali, Rwanda who took in over 1,000 refugees during the 1994 genocide of the Tutsis by the Hutu militia.
The Phantom of the Opera
The hit Broadway musical makes its big-screen debut with larger-than-life sets, beautiful costumes and, of course, the unforgettable music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Gerard Butler stars as the masked phantom, with newcomers Emmy Rossum and Patrick Wilson.
Fat Albert
The classic cartoon comes to the big screen as Albert and the rest of the gang break out of the cartoon world and venture into the real world to help a young girl who is trying to fit in at her high school.
