Jake Dworski started body building in 1998 to help build muscular strength for competitive surfing, and became a personal trainer five years later. His business picked up quickly, and in 1997 brought three other personal trainers on board.

Dworski’s client base comprises a broad spectrum of age and physique goals.

“I bring 17 years of vast athletic experience and include complete nutritional and diet planning as part of my training packages,” he said. In addition to training clients in their own homes, Dworski is able to train clients at World Gym, Pacific Beach, his own brand-new, semi-private training facility.

Born in Los Angeles, Dworski has operated a personal-training business in almost every main coastal town from San Francisco to San Diego. He has picked up several home-training clients since moving to San Diego eight months ago, and is looking to increase his client base for himself and his employees.

“I am very excited to be here in San Diego,” said the avid surfer and runner, who also enjoys fishing, reading and gardening. Dworski gives free health seminars to the AARP once a month in Los Angeles, and is in the process of arranging free training and nutrition seminars at San Diego-area high schools.
