What’s new, pussycat?: The largest and oldest annual cat show in California comes to the San Diego Concourse Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The local host, San Diego Cat Fanciers, has 37 recognized breeds of pedigree cats, including cats with folded ears, curly hair, longhaired and nearly hairless. Cirque de Casino: Balagan, a Cirque de Soleil-style extravaganza, performs at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio through Jan. 23.
