• Relit at 8:00 p.m. on Aug. 16, 1984
• 240 feet of pink neon tubing
• Monthly electric cost is $60
• Supporting poles were 75 feet tall, with 35 feet under ground
• Weight is 800 pounds
• 21 feet long
• 3.5 feet tall
• Letters are made of white plastic
• The red metal sign will be repainted July 10-11
• 2004 CityFest (Aug. 8) celebrated the 21st anniversary of the sign’s relighting with a huge community street fair.
