The law firm of Borton, Petrini & Conron, LLP (BPC) has been in existence since 1898, and has the “statewide advantage” with 10 California offices, including San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles and Orange County, as well as San Diego.

Jonathan Geen has been practicing law since 1985, beginning in Chicago and moving to San Diego in 1999. He has been with BPC for four years, and is a partner of the firm.

BPC is a general civil practice firm, handling everything from business formation, contract, employment and other general business law to prosecuting and defending lawsuits in state and federal courts. “We pride ourselves in helping our client reduce their risk by practicing ‘preventative law,’” Geen said. “We combine the resources of a large firm with the intimacy and attention of a small office.”

Geen was born and raised in New York City. He received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College of Columbia University, where he was class president. He received his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law. “Prior to going to law school, I was a professional singer/dancer/actor, with off-Broadway credits, which [is] experience I now use in front of judges and juries,” Geen said.

A former competitive figure skater, Geen now travels around the country in his spare time as a national-level judge for U.S. figure skating.

He lives in the Bankers Hill/Hillcrest area with his partner, David Madigan, an architect.

Geen is the facilitator for the Thursday morning business networking group of the Greater San Diego Business Association and serves on the board of directors of the Escondido Figure Skating Club.
