Mr., Miss & Ms. Gay Teen Pageant: The annual Mr., Miss & Ms. Gay Teen Pageant takes place at The Center at 6:00 p.m. Contestants will appear in casual wear, then evening wear, and give prepared speeches in the competition. Too Much Information: T.M.I. (Too Much Information) presents readings from The Beautifully Worthless by Ali Liebegott, Eileen Myles, Anna Joy Springer, Michelle Tea, Laurie Weeks, and other guest readers at the 7:30 p.m. at the Voltaire Street Space, located at 4862 Voltaire St. in Ocean Beach. The Odd Couple Female Version: Don’t miss opening night of The Odd Couple Female Version, presented by Onstage Playhouse. Think “Desperate Housewives” meets “Sex in the City” then drop it in the 1980s. Now it’s the ladies who meet every Friday to play Trivial Pursuit. Oscar and Felix are now Olive and Florence. Private Fittings: In La Jolla Playhouse’s world-premier adaptation of classic French playwright Georges Feydeau’s Private Fittings, a newlywed doctor and his favorite lady patient think they’ve found the perfect hideaway for a tryst in a fashion designer’s abandoned abode, but when unexpected visitors come calling – from a meddling mother-in-law to a beefy husband to a clueless dolt who just won’t leave – the good doctor finds his best-laid plans have gone horribly, hilariously awry. Global day of protest: The San Diego Coalition for Peace and Justice is holding a demonstration rally and march at 2:00 p.m. at Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street in Balboa Park, in conjunction with events around the nation and the world protesting the second anniversary of the war in Iraq and calling for its end. Able mind, will follow: The six-member spoken word troupe Able Minded Poets blends sharp social commentary with instrumental drum ’n’ bass backdrops in dynamic shows that are nothing short of powerful. IMAX views of the Nile: Encounter dangerous rapids, hippos and crocodiles, as well as the ancient cultures of Ethiopia and Egypt as you journey along the world’s longest river in a giant IMAX dome theater. Insight seminar: At 7:00 p.m., the Old Globe Theatre hosts an insight seminar for Himself and Nora, their newest play.
