Kristin Reid and Des Kelly, members of the Front Runner’s group in San Diego, competed in and finished the inaugural Ironman Arizona Triathlon in Tempe, Ariz., on April 9. The grueling course consisted of a 2.4-mile lake swim, 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run. Both said they were happy to complete the race.

Kelly finished the race in 14 hours, 50 minutes and 33 seconds while Reid finished in 15 hours 46 minutes and 19 seconds.
