Gay Men’s Chorus spring concert: The Gay Men’s Chorus San Diego performs “Broadway A-Z!” at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center’s Garfield Theatre, located at 4126 Executive Dr. in La Jolla. Come along and hear favorites from Hairspray, Mamma Mia, South Pacific, The Full Monty and many more, all done in the chorus’ charming and unique style. Find your musical voice: For women with a hankering to sing, a vocal workshop led by award-winning singer-songwriter Judy Fjell will teach women the art of singing, harmony and fun ways to relax and expand the voice, regardless of musical ability or experience. The workshop, entitled “Finding Your Musical Voice – For Women Who Want to Sing,” takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Swedenborgian Church, located on the corner of Campus and Tyler streets in University Heights. Spectrum: Bacchus House’s hot new Saturday night, Spectrum, features DJ Kiki and international star DJs from 9:00 to 4:00 a.m. Presented by Ohm Events, recognized by many from Club Montage’s Play Girl Saturdays, is reminiscent of world-renowned deep-fusion rhythms of clubs in Ibiza, the U.K. and Eastern Europe. The kickoff event will feature a raffle for prizes such as free airline tickets and a room for New York City Pride, gift certificates to Martin and Wall and two weeks’ training at the School of Oom Yung Doe, grand master “Iron” Kim style. Private VIP areas with complimentary beverage service will be provided. A portion of the proceeds goes to various charities, including Mama’s Kitchen. Fallbrook Avocado Festival: ’Tis the season for the green, bumpy fruit, and Fallbrook is celebrating with its spring festival of food, games, shopping and small-town entertainment all along Main Street. Amish Rake Fight: What’s in a name, anyways? Amish Rake Fight is known among their fans as one of the edgiest electronica bands to dominate the scene. Their otherworldly techno, experimental and hip-hop sounds and perfectly mixed scores make this a show you don’t want to miss.
