Hats Off to San Diego Luncheon: At 10:30 a.m. the Gold Diggers (Gifts of Loving Donors) will host their 12th annual “Hats Off to San Diego” luncheon and “Parade of Hats” to raise funds for the Autism Tree Project and the Emilio Nares Foundation. $60 ticket includes luncheon, champagne social, silent auction and parade, with all proceeds going to the two local charities. Ocean Beach Street Fair: Check out this free fair in Ocean Beach from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There are four stages of live music, an ocean view beer garden, a carnival, an artists’ alley, a chili cook-off and over 250 booths with food and arts and crafts. Park at Robb Field or on Sea World Drive (at Pacific Highway), and catch the free shuttle to the festival, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every hour.

Pet Fest and Doggy Dash: Downtown Chula Vista’s Pet Fest and Doggy Dash takes place in Memorial Park from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Doggy Dash, a 2-mile run/walk, kicks off at 9:00 a.m. Fees are $12 per entry.
