Keith H. Rutman, of counsel to Sparber Rudolph Annen, is a civil and criminal trial lawyer with 15 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts, including case investigation, drafting pleadings and motions, discovery practice, trial court motion practice, alternate dispute resolution, jury trials (from jury selection through closing argument) and appellate practice. He also has experience in prosecuting and managing complex litigation and conducting administrative hearings.

Rutman has been with Sparber Rudolph Annen since January. He provides legal services to individuals and small businesses in civil and commercial litigation, as well as some criminal defense. “I would describe myself as consumer oriented,” he said.

Rutman and his wife live in Carlsbad with their 3-year-old daughter and their sheltie, Joker.

“I believe it is important that every member of a community be aware of developments in the community – local, state, federal and global – and play a role in making it a better place to live and work,” Rutman said.
