2003 Pride party guide — everything you need to know
Plethora of Pride parties offer full weekend of fun and revelry

POWERHOUSE Official Pride Parties
Once again San Diego Pride’s official party promoter is back with a weekend full of decadent dance parties. A V.I.P. ticket to all four fabulous parties and both days at the Pride festival costs just $175 — a savings of $50 off last year’s price!
Spinning for the first time at an official San Diego Pride party this year will be DJs Wendy Hunt from Provincetown, Neil Lewis and Phil B from San Francisco and Brett Henrichsen from Los Angeles. And of course, Powerhouse Productions’ world famous “Zoo Party” is back again for another year of revelry in one of San Diego’s most beautiful settings.
“I’m a real believer that if it’s not broke, don’t fix it,” says Powerhouse Productions owner Bill Hardt. “The Zoo Party is not a party where pomp and circumstance and flash fit; it has a real backyard barbeque, hanging out with your friends kind of feel…. I’m not even interested in ruining that.”
Of course, supporting Powerhouse parties also benefits the community, as 15 percent of the profit from ticket sales is given back to the local GLBT community. Last year, says Hardt, the parties gave back about $24,000 to the community. “I’m very excited about the lineup this year,” he says. “Ticket sales are going incredibly well.” That means you’ll want to get yours before they’re all gone. For tickets or more information, call the Powerhouse Party Hotline at (619) 220-2137 or visit www.powerhous-productions.com.
