Man taken to Mercy Hospital said to be ‘conscious and breathing’

The San Diego Police Department confirmed that at 2:29 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, a call came in reporting what appeared to be a drug overdose at Club San Diego, located at 3955 Fourth Ave. in Hillcrest. Paramedics responded to the call, where a 25-year-old, 6-foot white male wearing a towel was classified as “conscious and breathing,” with no indication of intended foul play. The man was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment. No further information on his status was available, and no police report was filed.
