Asylum
In the late 1950s when her husband takes his post as deputy director of a remote psychiatric hospital, Stella and her young son are brought to live on the grounds of the asylum. Stella is drawn to charismatic inmate Edgar, and seems prepared to risk everything to be with him.
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
Ryu, a young deaf mute, is unable to donate a kidney to his dying sister due to incompatible blood types. Succumbing to the underground organ market, he agrees to sell one of his own kidneys in exchange for cash, but when he wakes up with both his kidney and cash gone, Ryu and his terrorist girlfriend kidnap the daughter of a wealthy businessman to raise ransom money.
The Constant Gardener
When a British diplomat’s wife, a socially-conscious lawyer, turns up dead in Kenya, he sets out to find the truth about her murder. In the process, he finds out that his wife had been compiling data against a multinational drug company that uses helpless Africans as guinea pigs to test a tuberculosis remedy with fatal side effects.
