Andrew Bisaha became part-owner of Fashion Career College in 1991. At that time, he handled accounting and taught buying courses to students eager to work in fashion. Since then the college has added a fashion design program and expanded it’s offerings to certificates and specialized associate degrees in fashion business and fashion design. It has also added technology to the program, with instruction in Lectra (a CAD software program for design), Photoshop, Illustrator and E-tailing.
The brainchild of Patricia O’Conner, Fashion Career College began in 1979 and was the first to offer a fashion merchandising diploma.
The small-boutique, family feeling makes Fashion Career College unique among colleges offering fashion programs. The average FCC student-to-instructor ratio is 10 to one, and placement rate is in the high 80th percentile annually.
Bisaha has worked as a volunteer with Mama’s Kitchen for over five years, where he was recently selected as an “honors” volunteer of the year. He also proudly volunteers his time as a member of Project Lifeguard and the AIDS-Buddy Group.
