Cheek 2 Cheek Dance Studio offers clients the highest level of dance instruction possible. All instructors are in the top of their field, and many are ballroom dance competitors.

This innovative new studio opened its Pacific Beach location in February, and boasts the largest dance floor in San Diego. Before or after dancing, attendees can enjoy the beaches, which are less than a block away, and the rich life of Pacific Beach, with its bars, restaurants, clubs, gyms and shops.

Dancing is still a highly discriminatory activity, and it is time for that to evolve, Cheek 2 Cheek’s owners say. They have set a goal of offering ballroom, Latin and country dance lessons to all communities, to promote the social, mental and physical benefits of dancing.

Last month, Cheek 2 Cheek became the only dance studio in the area offering dance classes expressly for same-sex couples. These classes – salsa, cha-cha and country two-step – are followed by a dance party, where everyone is encouraged to stay and dance the night away with the new moves they have learned. If the program proves to be successful, the studio will offer additional dance classes in various styles and forms on many other days, and make the studio a learning opportunity for all.
