Momentum movie night: Momentum is a social group for gay men around the ages of 25-35, based out of Family Health Centers of San Diego’s Gay Men’s Health Program (GMHP), which focuses on health through education, social skills and community building. Tenor Madness: Twin tenor saxophonists Tom Catenzaro and Brian Levy square off at Dizzy’s, backed by a rhythm section of Paul Keeling on piano, Rob Thorsen on bass and Tim McMahon on drums. Art show: Approximately 30 artists will exhibit one piece based on their perspectives of the four seasons. Photography exhibit opening: A photography collection by John Gutmann is featured through May 7 at the Museum of Photographic Arts. Gutmann photographed life in San Francisco during the Great Depression and was fascinated by the American appetite for materialism, focusing mainly on parades, circuses, billboards, automobiles, college campuses and athletic meets. 5 Minute Man: Family Health Centers of San Diego’s Gay Men’s Health Program conducts this fun and interactive alternative to meeting guys in San Diego. Much Ado About Nothing: Originally written by William Shakespeare, four lovers in a small town engage in fierce battles of wit and delicious practical jokes. But beneath the games of disguise and foolery lie darker forces of mistrust and fear. While Beatrice and Benedick wrangle, turning wordplay to foreplay, Claudio and Hero must overcome treachery and deceit to make their love-match. The play is showing at the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre at the La Jolla Playhouse. Showtimes are Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $28 to $75. Cabaret dances: The San Diego Museum of Art’s longest running dance series, Intimate Cabaret Dances, is premiering three new dance pieces by award-winning choreographer Jean Isaacs. The show continues through Sunday, Jan. 22, at 8:00 p.m. each night. Tickets range from $10 to $20. The performance takes place at the James S.
