Running Scared
For over a decade, Joey Gazelle (Paul Walker) has successfully juggled his conflicting roles as both a loving family man and a low-level employee of the Italian Perello mob in Grimley, N.J. But when Joey ignores the mob’s explicit instructions to dispose of a gun used in the fatal shooting of a corrupt cop during a bungled drug buy, he unwittingly puts his entire family in danger.
Night Watch
For centuries, undercover members of the Night Watch have policed the world’s Dark Ones – the vampires, witches, shape-shifters and sorcerers that wage treachery in the night – while the Dark Ones have a Day Watch to police the forces of Light. The fate of humanity rests in this delicate balance between good and evil, but that fate is in jeopardy.
Tristram Shandy
Foppish 18th century gentleman Tristram Shandy (Steve Coogan) is telling us his life story when a director (Jeremy Northam) yells “cut,” and we find that we are on a 21st century movie set, filming an adaptation of Laurence Sterne’s unfilmable comic novel. The film brings together the cream of British comedy talent.
