Journeys: The Butterworth Dance Company (BDC) introduces three premieres. Pulse is a quartet of sensual movements pulsating with exotic fluidity and high-energy pop set to the music of Govinda. All the Things You Are is a fun, light piece set to the soulful voice of Ella Fitzgerald from her collection of song books. The Other Side is BDC’s first community centered dance work. Jay Bolotin: Featured musician and visual artist Jay Bolotin performs a free live concert followed by a special screening of his woodcut motion picture, The Jackleg Testament, at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Maid in America takes an intimate look at the lives of three Latina immigrants working as nannies and housekeepers in Los Angeles.
