San Diego’s gay basketball community is mourning the loss of a dear friend. A founding member of the Shooterz gay basketball team, Dean Shulz won a Bronze medal in the 1990 Gay Games in Vancouver. Schulz, 43, was born on Jan. 13, 1960, in Whittier, California, and passed away on July 31, 2003. He is survived by his partner Chuck Hildebrandt.
