Ron Rooney is a real estate broker with Ascent Real Estate in Bankers Hill. He is also an experienced attorney with a broad-based business and legal background in real estate development, restoration and construction defect litigation.

Originally from New York and a graduate of Cornell and California Western School of Law, Rooney began his legal career with a San Francisco law firm and was later recruited as corporate counsel to Cisco Systems in San Jose. He is now working exclusively as a real estate consultant after more than 20 years experience buying and selling residential and commercial properties.

Rooney lives with his partner, Rick Malabo, in the Morley field area of North Park, where they are restoring and seeking a historic designation on their 1925 Spanish Colonial home.
