New Century Title Company is a title insurance company that can do business anywhere there is title insurance. The company is a subsidiary of Capital Title Group, rated for the second year in a row by Fortune magazine as among the top 100 fastest growing companies in the country.

“Ten years ago, coming from the entertainment business was a big change for me,” said New Century Title’s Ivan Solis. “I started in the real estate business as a messenger with a title company, and within six months I was in sales – and I’m still working with some of the same people.”

New Century Title sells title insurance to homeowners. They insure that each client’s property is free and clear of any liens, judgments, etc. They also do escrow services and 1031 exchanges.

“What makes us unique … is that we specialize in training our clients to help them increase there business by teaching them how to build a referral-based business,” Solis said. “We also provide them with various marketing tools and ideas.”

Solis is 33 years old and single, and is a California native who has been in the title business for 10 years. Some of his favorite things to do are travel, play sports (football, softball, golf and disc golf), sport cycle, cook and sing country music. He is traveling to the Gay Games in Chicago this summer to compete in football, and is also traveling to the first World Outgames in Montreal to compete in softball.

Solis is active in the community, having started the San Diego American Flag Football League and the Hillcrest Sport Cycle Club. Currently, he is the chair of FilmOut San Diego and serves on the board of MARYAH, a group of metro real estate professionals who help raise money for the Youth Supportive Housing Project, which serves homeless GLBT and HIV-positive youth.

“I enjoy helping out the community because I was given great opportunities and I would like to give others the same opportunities that I had,” he said.
