Chef’s Wok has opened in Hillcrest 12 years ago. The Chinese restaurant prides itself on its affordable prices and friendly service.
Previous to opening Chef’s Wok, ownerVictor Liv was head chef at Horton Plaza’s Panda Inn restaurant. Every single entrée at Chef’s Wok is his own recipe. “Please come try [us] out,” he said.
Chef’s Wok appetizers include: BBQ Pork, Meatless Egg Rolls, Fried Wantons, Chinese Buffalo Wings, Paper Wrapped Chicken, Shrimp Rolls and Steamed Dumplings. Salads include the Original Chinese Chicken Salad and the Vegetable Salad with Fried Tofu. Entrées include: Peking Style Duck, Spicy Beef, Assorted Seafood, Lemon Scallops, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Lemon Chicken and Crispy Garlic Chicken. All entrées are served with steamed rice. Add a cup of hot and sour soup or egg flower soup for $1.50 with each entrée. Chef’s Wok offers free delivery on orders of $20 or more to anywhere within a three-mile radius of the restaurant. They also cater parties, luncheons and banquets.
“I personally support gays and lesbians,” Liv said. “I’ve donated food to AIDS Walk and also to the rodeo association.”
