The Lumberjack Grille is a welcoming, easygoing American-style diner located in North Park that serves breakfast all day.
Beginning Nov. 18, the Lumberjack Grille will be open Friday and Saturday until 2:00 a.m., helping to serve hungry late-night diners in the North Park area.
Among the dishes Lumberjack Grille is known for is the North Park Broiler, which is comprised of chicken breast and an Ortega chili with pepper jack cheese on grilled sourdough.
Lumberjack Grille owner Michael Rocklin was born in Michigan and moved to San Diego in 1990. He has been partnered to Mike Gavin for 11 years and the couple has a 10-year-old daughter named Waverly.
Rocklin, who volunteered for the previous AIDS Foundation, has been a member of the Finest City Square Dancers for 13 years and is involved with and volunteers for the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association. The Lumberjack Grille has supported the San Diego Bears, the San Diego League of Gentlemen, San Diego POZabilities, the San Diego Boys of Leather, the Cubs Club, San Diego LGBT Pride and its volunteers, and Auntie
Helen’s.
