The Cosmos: Colorful, rich, sassy and fun describes the dynamic sounds of this 14-member male vocal ensemble. The group has amazed audiences all over San Diego with an unusual assortment of hit tunes sung like you’ve never heard them before. Summer in the Park concerts: The University Heights Community Development Corporation kicks off their summer concert series with the reggae band Upstream. Bring a picnic and enjoy the music! Gay Men’s Chorus at Ray at Night: The Gay Men’s Chorus of San Diego will perform at this month’s Ray at Night art gallery walk, beginning at 7:30 p.m. inside the Arts & Entertainment Center, located at 3026 University Ave. in North Park. The chorus will sing selections from its upcoming summer concert series, entitled “An American in Paris,” as well as audience favorites from its sold-out spring performances of “Bang! Bang! Artists Open Studio 2: More than 50 local artists and craftspeople will display their artwork at The Center from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. as part of Artists Open Studio 2. Artwork will include paintings, jewelry, clay pottery, glass work, beadwork, textile, ceramics and more. There will be live music, and food will be catered by Jerry Daniele of Your Place or Mine Catering. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for seniors/students. Butch Revue: The ninth annual Butch Revue takes place at The Hole from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Check out belly dancers, a singing nun, singers, actors, comedy acts and more. Tokeli Jazz Ensemble: The group takes the stage at Dizzy’s for their CD release, with special guests Peter Sprague on guitar and Gilbert Castellanos on trumpet. Ed Kornhauser will play piano, Pat McKee bass, Paul Ingram drums, Tom Aros percussion and Tokeli will sing. Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for students. Snoopy! The Musical: Charles Schulz’s much-loved Peanuts comic-strip characters come to life onstage with a big-band, jazz-style score and 19 musical numbers. Taste of Bird Rock: Experience the charm of Bird Rock, the revitalized seaside neighborhood of La Jolla known for its relaxed friendliness, great restaurants and unique boutiques, galleries and businesses. Enjoy live entertainment and samples from the area’s restaurants. The fourth annual event takes place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on La Jolla Boulevard between Midway Street and Camino de la Costa. Fall: Moxie Theatre presents this play about mothers and daughters, featuring a funny and moving look at a daughter’s relationship with herself and her parents as she grows up.
