Filmed over seven years, writer/director Ward Serrill’s documentary captures the passion and energy of the Roosevelt Roughriders, a Seattle high school girls’ basketball team. Roughriders coach Bill Resler brings his eccentric training skills to the team, and also steps in to support the precocious talent of inner-city girl Darnellia Russell when she is forced to fight to regain her eligibility to play the game she loves.
