San Diegans win medals in billiard/pool competition at Gay Games

San Diegan Anbinh Pham won the gold medal in the in the 8-Ball Competitive division on July 21 at Gay Games VII in Chicago.
The San Diego Pool Association sent six players to compete in the billiard tournament. Joe Meyers won the silver medal in the 9-ball Competitive division and Terri Estep placed fourth in 8-ball Competitive division.
Don Maurer, Stephen McIntire and Malisa Mapu also competed and placed well in their respective divisions.
The San Diego Pool Association season kicked off its 27th year and 56th season of play in July. At various bars throughout San Diego, 28 teams compete in four divisions of play each Monday night throughout the summer and fall.
