Steve McKinnis is a graphic artist and Web designer with more than 15 years professional experience. He has worked as a marketing manager and Web designer for Alliance Title, Coldwell Banker and College Bowl, among others, and has done freelance work for numerous companies, including Bollotta Entertainment, Century 21, TeamNet, Qualcomm and Robek Chiropractic.

McKinnis began freelancing in high school and continued doing graphic layouts even while working as a reporter for an ABC affiliate. After he graduated college, he made graphic and Web design his full-time pursuit.

“My business is unique in that I’m your one-stop do-all,” he said. “I photograph, draw, and have the technical acumen to put together a Web site, DVD presentation [and] professional advertisements for magazines, newsprint, television or radio.

“I have worked for many corporations and individuals, and I can balance many different personality types to yield the creative and standout project they want,” he added. “I’m also a great listener and go to great lengths to make sure a product truly represents the client and [reflects] what they want to relay.”

A self-described workaholic, McKinnis is also an avid athlete who has participated in triathlons for the last 10 years. He has participated in AIDS Walk San Diego for several years and also donates 10 percent of his freelance income to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. He will also participate in the foundation’s annual run/walk, which takes place Nov. 5.
