The San Diego Democratic Club celebrated the opening of its first-ever Democratic Party campaign office Saturday morning, Oct. 7. The office is located at 4411 30 St., Suite 100, in North Park.

Adorned with signs for Democratic candidates and already brimming with activity, the office will serve as the club’s headquarters throughout the mid-year election season.

Equipped with six phone lines and multiple work stations for the club’s active volunteer membership, the SDDC office marks the realization of one of the club’s long-term goals, set five years ago by Jess Durfee, San Diego County Democratic Party chair, who spoke at the opening.

Also in attendance were Congressmember Susan Davis, founding SDDC member Bob Smith and SDDC president Stephen Whitburn.
