Hemingway’s Rose: You know the really annoying kind of person who monopolizes dryers in the Laundromat, reinvents himself via endless stories on the spot and won’t leave you alone? That’s George (Ted Reis), who torments stranger George (Jonathan Sachs) with nonstop talk in three scenes that take place in a Laundromat, a baseball game and a school cafeteria, and are unconnected by logic or plot structure. Shaun of the Dead: This hilarious “rom zom com” (romantic zombie comedy) follows the bloody funny adventures of underachiever Shaun and his best mate Ed as they cope with a zombie invasion of North London. Halloween Spooktacular: The National Comedy Theatre presents its annual “Halloween Spooktacular,” a cross between Friday the 13th and “Who’s Line Is It, Anyway?” on Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m., with an additional midnight show on Oct. 28. The “Halloween Spooktacular,” is a variation on their regular improv comedy show, complete with Halloween-themed subjects, spooky games and an ending so bizarre that it will be discussed until Thanksgiving. Roving Mars: The IMAX film follows the exciting journey of a dedicated team of NASA scientists and engineers as they design, build, launch and land a pair of state-of-the-art, robotic exploration vehicles onto the surface of Mars.
