While Houman bears the striking characteristics of an upper crust jewelry elitist, he is not to be mistaken as a “purveyor of fine jewels.” Houman prides his work on the deep personalization behind each and every one of his creations. Each of his custom pieces is made on site at his atmospheric boutique located in Coronado.

Testing the waters has been a staple of Houman’s career and has become the way he does business. This proves true with his most recent work, the LUZ collection, where he has created a high quality yet very edgy collection that steps far out of the “safe zone.” Each piece of the newly created LUZ collection is based on a true moment in time, which he has described as “extracting the feeling from within and crafting it into a tangible work of art.” LUZ is more than jewelry; it’s a love story.

This love story is personified in a collection of fascinating rings and was inspired by living life, experiencing love and all the emotions that come along with it. As individuals, these pieces speak strongly about a raw and intense experience. As a whole, the pieces come together to complete a love story. There will be 12 lines once the LUZ collection is complete, with each expressing its own emotion. The collection began with the Love ring and has progressed to include: Cheat, Breakup, Anger, Alone, Secrets, Flirt, Lust and Obsession. Rubies on the Love ring represent passion while raised bumps on the Alone ring represent the scars left by love lost. Each piece is a masterpiece with no detail left undone.
