Branded as an urban lifestyle retailer, Mesh merchandise runs the metropolitan gamut, selling everything from clothing and accessories to artwork and house wares.
With seven years of solid retail experience and a penchant for electronic music, owner Michael Delgado is poised to sell products that reflect the marriage between the two.
Delgado conceived the idea for the business venture while enrolled in a business planning class at San Diego City College.
With a degree in electronic music, his apparel and products showcase musical influences and other facets of modern culture. Graffiti art is especially prevalent in the design of the clothes sold at Mesh. There is a focus on gift items as well, all offered at very reasonable prices.
Delgado is a 26-year-old gay man who hails from New Orleans, La. He’s resided in San Diego for four and a half years and is ready to “make his mark” in North Park, he said. Like most 26-year-olds, Delgado loves hanging out with friends and traveling. In fact, he just returned from Spain in July.
The young entrepreneur is excited about being part of a revitalizing gay community. He draws upon the surrounding young business owners and is proud to live in a community that is dominated by small businesses. Delgado continues to search for more ways to involve himself in the community, such as the Ray at Night art walk in North
Park.
