Gay Men’s Relationships and Empowerment Retreat: This is the first day of the free weekend-long Gay Men’s Relationships and Empowerment Retreat taking place at Angel’s Landing in Julian. The retreat is led by staff from the Gay Men’s Health Program at Family Health Centers of San Diego and will include activities, discussions and presentations aimed at providing a forum that allows gay men to begin positive changes for themselves through personal and community empowerment. Gay men’s cancer support: The American Cancer Society, in conjunction with The Center, will conduct its monthly cancer support group for gay men at The Center from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The group is for gay men of any age with any type of cancer and is conducted by a licensed therapist who is also a cancer survivor. The meetings are for cancer patients, partners, family and/or caregivers. The meeting is held the second Saturday of each month.
