Our Love is Here to Stay: The San Diego Men’s Chorus presents Our Love is Here to Stay, a Valentine-themed cabaret show, at The Center at 6:30 p.m. and again at 8:30 p.m. Gay comedian Ant will headline the event. There will be a no-host bar and a raffle. No one under the age of 21 will be admitted. General admission tickets for the show are $25. Songs of Love and Lust: The Rubber Rose will present San Diego’s “Queen of Boogie Woogie,” Sue Palmer, and Laura Jane as they perform Songs of Love and Lust, a special Valentine’s Day-themed show starting at 8:00 p.m. Treat your Valentine to music, wine and art at San Diego’s sex-positive community boutique. Gay Men’s Relationships and Empowerment Retreat: This is the first day of the free weekend-long Gay Men’s Relationships and Empowerment Retreat taking place at Angel’s Landing in Julian. The retreat is led by staff from the Gay Men’s Health Program at Family Health Centers of San Diego and will include activities, discussions and presentations aimed at providing a forum that allows gay men to begin positive changes for themselves through personal and community empowerment. Gay men’s cancer support: The American Cancer Society, in conjunction with The Center, will conduct its monthly cancer support group for gay men at The Center from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The group is for gay men of any age with any type of cancer and is conducted by a licensed therapist who is also a cancer survivor. The meetings are for cancer patients, partners, family and/or caregivers. The meeting is held the second Saturday of each month. The Vagina Mononlogues: Celebrate women, raise awareness and envision a world without violence when Shakti Rising presents a production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues at The Center, starting at 7:00 p.m. The Clothesline Project will also be on display. Advance tickets are available for $15 at The Center or can be purchased at the door for $18. All proceeds will benefit V-Day, Shakti Rising and the Women’s Resource Center. Love Is in the Air: Celebrate with your Valentine and enjoy an evening of beautiful music about the tender and the passionate side of love when Virtuoso Russian violinist Philippe Quint joins the San Diego Chamber Orchestra in presenting Love Is in the Air.
