The accounting firm of Abbas, Jenson & Cundari formed in 1987 when Rulon Jenson and Tom Abbas teamed up to form Expresstax, specializing in quick-turnaround income tax preparation. The successful business grew and expanded as a third partner, Chris Cundari, was added, and the firm moved into the Uptown District. The firm continued to grow in its new location, adding associate Daniel DiCarlo as an enrolled agent in 2000.

Over the years, their services have expanded from personal income tax preparation into a full-service accounting firm. In 2006, the business name changed to Abbas, Jenson & Cundari, CPAs, to more accurately reflect the services offered at the firm. They now offer a variety of tax and accounting services tailored to meet the needs of both individuals and small businesses. The services include payroll processing for employers with one to 50 employees, financial statement preparation, tax return service for small businesses and nonprofits, and consulting for small businesses.

Tom Abbas and Chris Cundari are both native San Diegans, and Rulon Jenson has been a resident for more than 30 years. Abbas, Cundari and Jenson have been involved in various organizations within the community including AIDS Foundation San Diego, GSDBA, Special Delivery San Diego, GSDBA Charitable Foundation and America’s Finest City Softball League. They attribute the success of their business to their involvement with the community, and giving back to the community is something that is important to each of them.
