Eric Himan: The so-called “bad boy of folk” Eric Himan will be performing live at Bourbon Street at 8:30 p.m. With four independently produced CDs under his belt, Himan has hit the road again to promote his latest release, Everywhere All At Once. This show will provide the audience with a different sound than Himan’s previous collection of music, as he shares his inner-most thoughts and feelings about his experiences with romance, self-preservation, homophobia and starting over after devastating events. Sapphic cinema: The Center will host a free, monthly film night by and about women at 7 p.m. This month’s movie is Strangers in Good Company, in which seven women tell their stories that are battered by time, toil and hardship. Whether you come with a date or alone and meet someone new, you will certainly be in good company with this remarkable and poignant film. ArtWalk 2007: San Diego’s largest outdoor art festival, ArtWalk 2007, is now in its 23rd year and will take place in Little Italy near downtown San Diego on both Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 6 p.m. This special event offers attendees the unique opportunity to visit with hundreds of artists, enjoy their work and learn what inspired them. The openair gallery will stretch from Beech Street to Fir Street, filling more than 16 city blocks with art. Open studio art show: San Diego artist/photographer Dennis Covey will opens his loft/gallery for a showing of his life-sized cast sculptures and fine-art canvas editions from noon to 6 p.m. Covey’s latest works incorporating the male figure are a fluid dance imagery blended with flowing fabrics that evoke a spiritual freedom in their movement. His sculptures of the nude human form encompass a broad range of physiques and attitudes. The open studio will also allow attendees an opportunity to talk to the artist about new ideas and techniques being tested for future projects. This event is open and free to all. The Grapes of Wrath: San Diego State University School of Theatre, Television and Film will present John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath on stage at the Don Powell Theatre starting at 7 p.m. The story about Oklahoma farmers forced to become mig-rant workers in California won a Pulitzer Prize in 1940, and this play of poverty and the struggle of the human spirit will come to life on stage in this performa-nce. Log Cabin Republicans social: The Log Cabin Republicans of San Diego will hold its monthly social mixer event at Bourbon Street from 6:30-8 p.m.
The free event is open to anyone interested in meeting other GLBT Republicans. Those who want to learn more about the group are invited to attend. The social mixer takes place the first Tuesday of every month.

Guys, Games and Grub: The Center’s Men’s Advisory Committee will host a game night at The Center at 6:30 p.m. Men of all ages in the community are invited to hang out, play some board games, listen to music, have a few drinks and eat burgers. San Diego City Homes Property Management Division is sponsoring the event and will be providing the group with all the food and fixings for dinner. There will be an assortment of games to play, but those who attend are invited to bring their favorite games to share with the guys.
