Ramey Law Group opened its doors this past July when Martin “Marty” Ramey left a local San Diego law firm that specialized in construction defect litigation to form his own practice. In 2002, Ramey graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was the executive comments editor for the San Diego Law Review. Prior to law school Ramey worked in public relations and marketing for a large accounting firm as well as several non-profits.

“What drove me to practice law was a feeling that I wanted to help people in a truly meaningful way,” says Ramey. “Being gay, I especially wanted to focus on the needs of our community.”

The Ramey Law Group is a full service law firm offering clients professional advice and representation in civil litigation, estate planning and consumer issues. “I like to think of myself and others in the firm as practicing law with the usual tenacity of most lawyers but coupled with compassion and understanding of our clients,” he adds.

Originally from the South, Ramey now lives in the Gaslamp District with his partner of 11 years and their two English Bulldogs. The Ramey Law Group is a proud member of the GSDBA, the Tom Homann Law Association, the San Diego Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations.
